OLOSKO Education is a UK-registered tutoring service. This page explains what personal data we collect from parents and students, how we use it, and the choices you have — including cookies.

1. Who we are

OLOSKO Education (“we”, “us”) is the trading name of OLOSKO LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15334914). We are the data controller for personal data collected on oloskoeducation.com.

2. Data we collect

a. Directly from you

Parent / student name, email address, phone number, city — when you book an assessment, create an account, or enrol in a cohort.
Payment information — processed directly by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.
Homework photos and feedback threads — uploaded to Cloudflare R2 storage and visible only to you and your assigned tutor.

b. Automatically

Anonymous usage statistics (page views, clicks) via Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel — only if you accept cookies.
Basic diagnostic technical data (IP address, browser, device type) collected to keep the site secure and to prevent abuse.

3. Why we use it

To deliver the tutoring service you’ve booked or subscribed to.
To send you lesson reminders, homework feedback, and monthly progress updates.
To improve the site, measure the impact of our lessons, and understand which programmes families care about.
To meet our legal obligations (safeguarding, tax, accounting).

4. Lawful basis (UK GDPR)

We rely on the following bases: contract (to deliver lessons you’ve paid for), consent (marketing emails and analytics cookies), legitimate interests (site security and abuse prevention), and legal obligation (safeguarding and finance records).

5. Cookies & tracking

We only set analytics or advertising cookies after you click Accept on the banner shown on your first visit. You can change your mind at any time via in the footer.

The categories we use:

Strictly necessary — sign-in sessions, CSRF protection, security. Always on.
Analytics — Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager. Only if you accept.
Advertising — Meta Pixel, Google Ads conversion tracking. Only if you accept.
Functional — remembering your consent choice (this one uses localStorage, not a cookie, and is always on because it stores your refusal of the others).

6. Third-party processors

We share data only with vetted processors under a data-processing agreement:

Stripe — subscription and one-off payments.
Resend — transactional emails (magic links, receipts, homework feedback).
Cloudflare R2 — homework photos and DBS documents.
Google & Meta — analytics and advertising, only after consent.
Calendly — booking calls with Mr Kenny.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct, delete, or export the data we hold about you at any time by emailing support@oloskoeducation.com. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

8. Data retention

Lesson records and homework feedback — kept for 3 years after the last lesson.
Financial records — kept for 7 years (HMRC requirement).
Marketing consent — until you withdraw it.

9. Children’s data

Students under 16 must have a parent or guardian create the account on their behalf. We never send marketing to a child’s email address.

10. Changes

If we update this policy we’ll change the date at the top and, for material changes, email account holders.
